My singing has already taken me on an amazing journey and that continues, being Lead Vocalist and Front with Jacuzzisoup. From early beginnings, at just 5 yrs old, I was picked to sing solos in my primary school choir, the seed had been sown. I’ve always enjoyed performing on stage, and have played in many professional theatre productions alongside the likes of Ron Moody, Warwick Davis and Stephen Gately to name but a few, as Principal Girl, Co-Director, Writer etc.
At University I gained a BA(Hons) Commercial Music, HND Popular Music and Music Technology to add to the Grade 8 Vocals, Grade 5 Music Theory and Grade 5 Piano I had already achieved.
I felt very privileged to become a professional musician performing as lead vocalist in bands across the UK and Europe, including Some Like It Hot, A Band Called Red, Double Impact, before joining Jacuzzisoup in 2010.
For 12 years alongside my performing, I helped singers from 6yrs to 75yrs, in theatre/prep and secondary schools, as well as privately, achieve their singing aspirations, many gaining vocal scholarships, successfully releasing their own singles and achieving careers on the West End (London). My musical journey enables me to access my extensive experience, and now gigging Jacuzzisoup in the north is a dream come true! I couldn’t ask for nicer musicians to perform with. Lead Guitar
My first guitar was given to me on my 11th birthday, realising I had found something very special, I had my 1st classical guitar lesson the very next day! Over the next 6 years I achieved Trinity College Grade 6.
I had my first electric guitar at 14 years old and just a year later I played my first paid gig in a hotel on Margate seafront. I went on to study electric guitar to advanced level.
From 18yrs onwards I became a professional musician and played all over Kent and beyond in bands such as Retrospect (Covers Duo for 7 years), Dance On (4 piece 60’s function band for 8 years), Double Impact (80’s Soft Rock Duo for 5 years) and finally joining Jacuzzisoup in 2010. Also believing it important to pass on gained knowledge, I taught electric guitar privately for 5 years.
My guitar influences include some of the very best, Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Eric Johnson and Hank Marvin – with one of my most treasured possessions being a Fender Stratocaster personally signed by Hank himself!
Throughout the years, I have also gained significant experience in live audio production, studio recording and midi programming… ensuring Jacuzzisoup always sounds its best.

Bass Guitar
I started playing guitar when I was about 9 years old and soon moved over to bass guitar in my early teens.I joined my first band at 15 and have been in a number of bands since then. In 1988, I joined an originals act called ‘Alice Maguire’ and supported many famous pop and rock artists. A few of these offered us the opportunity to record free of charge, and from these recordings we were offered 3 different record labels and played live on Radio 1. We also performed regularly on the London circuit -most notably at the famous Marquee Club. During this time, one of our tracks was voted best song and played daily on Radio Hereford.
In the last 20 years, I’ve worked with some famous acts such as The Searchers, The Troggs, Herman’s Hermits and Vince Eager (standing in for Brian Licorice Locking from The Shadows), and more recently, I performed in a Beautiful South tribute band and headlined a major concert with Midge Ure, The Christians and Big Country supporting us!
I still do quite a lot of studio work, and have been a semi-professional musician for many years. I’ve also taught many people guitar and bass guitar.

Drums
I’ve always had a keen musical ear after many years as a child following my own family who played Drums and Keys in a band performing in clubs, pubs, and bars in the late 70’s and early 80’s.
I began my musical career at 11 years old playing Bass Trombone. A short time later I stumbled upon a lonely Drum kit in the corner of the School Instrument storeroom…it was then I saw the light! After giving it a lot of attention to get it playable again, along with a lot of practice, I moved on to playing the Drums and general percussion for the School and never looked back.
I went on to play on a couple of bands during my University years but stopped to develop my career and start a family. I took up the Drums again some years after and since then played in several local Pop, Rock, and Function bands all located around South Lincolnshire and North Cambridgeshire. Alongside playing in those bands I have undertaken dep work as well as played in the supporting band for several shows and musicals in and around the theatres of Peterborough. They include the Peterborough Gang Show, local pantomimes and variety shows, plus performances of musicals including Little Women, Footloose, and Spring Awakening.
My Drumming influences include Derrick McKenzie (Jamiroquai), Stuart Copeland (The Police), Phil Collins & Chester Thompson (Genesis), Ralph Rolle (Chic, LL Cool J), Stanley Randolph (Steve Wonder)

Keyboards
I’ve been playing keyboards and/or guitar in various rock/disco/funk/soul/pop bands since my teens and have gigged throughout the UK, Ireland and Germany with different outfits including Blues Bros and Abba tributes and even rhythm guitar for a Glenn Miller style big band. I have also been involved in musical theatre, directing the ‘pit orchestra’ for shows such as Grease, Superstar, Joseph etc. and have performed at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre and the Winter Gardens.
My musical influences are mainly from the 70s and 80s with Led Zeppelin, Yes, Floyd, Genesis and Queen high on the list. I also love Santana, Earth Wind and Fire, Nile Rodgers (from Chic to DaftPunk), Level 42 and It Bites. Musical Heroes – Rick Wakeman, Jimmy Page, George Duke, Dave Gilmour, Carlos Santana, Brian May, Steve Howe, Mark King & Mike Lindup (Level42), Frank Dunnery (It Bites)
As well as playing traditional keyboards (piano, organ, clavichord) I do enjoy programming synths, sampling and sequencing and using these in a live context to try to recreate the sounds used by the original artists.
